An EVM-compatible Avalanche Subnet testnet built with AvaCloud, Armada delivers low-cost, fast finality transactions and uses ADAM as its native currency for developers.
Armada is an EVM-compatible Avalanche Subnet testnet built with AvaCloud, using ADAM as its native currency. It provides a safe environment for cross-chain bridge trials, dApp QA, wallet/integration testing, and fee/performance experiments prior to mainnet deployment. Because it’s a testnet, live metrics (avg gas cost, block speed, TPS, activity) are configuration-dependent and updated frequently; check the network’s explorer for current figures.
Armada is uniquely configurable via AvaCloud—validators, gas price, and block timing can be tuned to simulate production or stress scenarios while keeping costs negligible with faucet-funded ADAM. It includes native Avalanche interoperability tooling (Teleporter/AWM) for seamless cross-subnet messaging, streamlining bridge development compared with generic EVM testnets. For benchmarking, consult its live explorer for metrics (avg gas cost, block speed, TPS, activity), which vary by configuration and test cycle.
Armada uses ADAM as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain ADAM by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
To bridge ADAM to Armada, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select Armada as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on Armada you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add Armada to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send ADAM on Armada, ensure your wallet is connected to the Armada network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of ADAM to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
