Energi (NRG) is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 mainnet that pairs smart contracts with decentralized governance and a self-funding treasury. It enables low-fee DeFi, NFTs, payments, and cross-chain bridging while staying compatible with Ethereum tools (MetaMask, Solidity). Stakers and masternodes secure the network and earn NRG for participation.

Energi differentiates itself with a built-in treasury and on-chain governance that continuously fund development, plus a dedicated Energi Defense Team focused on user protection—features uncommon among EVM chains. Performance is optimized for low costs and fast finality: gas typically ~1 gwei (often under $0.01 per transfer), single-digit-second block times, and capacity in the hundreds of TPS with low congestion versus Ethereum L1. Energi uses NRG as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain NRG by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge.
