Galactica-Reticulum is the public testnet for the Galactica network where developers and bridge users can safely test cross-chain transfers, smart-contract deployments, and validator workflows using the valueless GNET token for gas. As of Sep 2025, official performance metrics are not published; for comparison, treat avg gas cost as N/A (faucet GNET) with variable block speed/TPS and bursty activity that change with test campaigns and resets.

Unlike production chains, Reticulum is optimized for rapid iteration and bridge-centric interoperability testing, featuring frequent state resets, faucet-based GNET, and an aggressive upgrade cadence. This makes it distinct from generic testnets by concentrating on end-to-end bridge validation and telemetry over stable throughput—key metrics (avg gas cost, block speed, TPS, activity) are intentionally non-final and may fluctuate widely across releases.

Galactica-Reticulum uses GNET as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain GNET by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
