Loot Chain is an EVM-compatible testnet focused on the Loot ecosystem, where AGLD is the native gas token. It lets game developers prototype onchain game loops, mint and trade Loot-based items, and test cross-game composability and bridging in a no-value environment. Typical workloads include high-frequency actions (crafting, combat ticks, inventory updates) that benefit from low-fee, fast confirmation testing.
Unlike general-purpose testnets, Loot Chain is purpose-built for Loot-native game primitives and uses AGLD for gas to mirror its production token economy during development. Key performance snapshot (testnet): avg gas cost near-zero with faucet AGLD, block speed seconds-level, TPS not officially published, activity primarily developer/testing traffic—versus mature L2s that show sub-cent fees, ~1–2s blocks, and high TPS. The combination of AGLD-native gas, composable Loot asset standards, and a game-first tooling focus makes it a distinctive sandbox for onchain games.
Loot Chain uses AGLD as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain AGLD by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
To bridge AGLD to Loot Chain, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select Loot Chain as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on Loot Chain you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add Loot Chain to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send AGLD on Loot Chain, ensure your wallet is connected to the Loot Chain network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of AGLD to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
