Metadium is a public, EVM-compatible mainnet purpose-built for decentralized identity (DID) and verifiable credentials, with META as the native gas token. Primary use cases include KYC/KYB credential issuance and verification, passwordless login/SSO, access control, and compliance-ready attestations for consumer, enterprise, and public-sector apps. Builders anchor identity states and proofs on-chain while keeping PII off-chain, enabling portable, privacy-preserving identity across Web2 and Web3.

Metadium is unique for its identity-first architecture: a native DID registry/resolver and verifiable-credential tooling at the protocol layer so issuers, holders, and verifiers can manage identities natively on-chain. Using an EVM-compatible, permissioned-validator BFT consensus, it offers very low fees (typically fractions of a cent), fast block times in the low-seconds range, and practical throughput in the tens to hundreds of TPS; overall activity is smaller than general-purpose L1s like Ethereum because it’s optimized for identity workloads over speculative volume. This combination delivers rapid finality, privacy-preserving attestations, and full compatibility with Ethereum tooling for seamless development and bridging.
