Primary use cases include on-chain AI inference and data feeds for DeFi and dApps, an AI API/Model marketplace for monetization, and cross-chain interoperability via CosmWasm smart contracts and OraiBridge.

Oraichain is unique for its AI oracle framework with Test-Case Datasets (TCDs) that evaluate and verify AI providers, enabling trust-minimized AI results directly consumable by CosmWasm contracts. Performance highlights: fast block times (~6s), low average gas costs (typically under $0.01), practical throughput in the hundreds TPS, and active IBC-based cross-chain activity—well-suited for real-time AI and DeFi workloads. Unlike general-purpose chains, its AI-first stack (AI APIs, Data Hub, OraiDEX/OraiBridge) provides end-to-end tooling to build, verify, and monetize AI services on-chain.

Oraichain uses ORAI as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain ORAI by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge.
