An EVM-compatible testnet for Uptick Network focused on NFTs and digital culture, offering low-cost deployment and UOC-based gas for rapid experimentation.
Origin Testnet is Uptick Network’s public test environment for NFT-centric and IBC-native applications, using UOC as the test currency. It lets developers and bridge teams safely test cross-chain flows (ICS-20/ICS-721), NFT minting/trading, wallet integrations, and bridge performance under real consensus without financial risk. Gas is paid in faucet UOC, enabling rapid iteration and realistic gas profiling.
Origin is uniquely optimized for interchain NFTs with native ICS-721 and an IBC-first design, offering fast BFT finality with typical target block times around 2–6 seconds and effectively $0 USD gas on testnet (faucet UOC). TPS capacity on comparable Cosmos SDK networks ranges from the hundreds to low thousands; actual average TPS, gas usage, and activity levels vary over time—check the official explorer for current figures. This makes Origin a high-fidelity venue to benchmark bridge latency, NFT transfers, and cross-chain wallet flows versus generic EVM testnets.
Origin Testnet uses UOC as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain UOC by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
To bridge UOC to Origin Testnet, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select Origin Testnet as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on Origin Testnet you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add Origin Testnet to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send UOC on Origin Testnet, ensure your wallet is connected to the Origin Testnet network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of UOC to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
