An EVM-compatible Layer-1 for decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and the machine economy, enabling on-chain machine identities and pay-per-use payments with low fees.
peaq is a Polkadot-based Layer-1 for Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) and the Machine Economy, enabling teams to launch mobility, energy, connectivity, and robotics networks with on-chain machine IDs, access control, payments, and rewards. On mainnet, the PEAQ token powers low-cost transactions (avg fee typically under $0.01), ~6s block times, and hundreds of TPS—performance tuned for high-frequency IoT and M2M micropayments.
peaq is purpose-built for DePIN with native primitives like Self-Sovereign Machine Identities (DIDs), machine NFTs (mNFTs), pay-per-use access, revenue sharing, and a DePIN SDK, plus EVM and ink! smart contracts. Compared to general L1s, it pairs Polkadot’s shared security and XCM interoperability with fast, sub-cent fees (~6s blocks, 100s TPS) and real-world device activity at scale, enabling multichain DePINs to monetize data and services efficiently.
peaq uses PEAQ as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain PEAQ by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge.
To bridge PEAQ to peaq, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select peaq as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on peaq you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add peaq to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send PEAQ on peaq, ensure your wallet is connected to the peaq network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of PEAQ to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
