An EVM-compatible testnet using ETH (Chain ID 129399), Tatara enables safe dApp and smart contract testing with low-cost transactions and familiar Ethereum tooling.
Tatara is a testnet network that uses ETH as the native gas token, providing a safe environment to develop and validate cross-chain bridge logic end-to-end. Teams use it to test smart contracts, relayers, proofs, and message passing across chains without risking real assets. Funds are faucet-issued and the network may reset, so it’s intended strictly for development and QA, not production use.
Tatara is purpose-built for bridge development: ETH-native fees, frequent resets, and faucet funding let teams rapidly reproduce edge cases and verify interoperability before mainnet deployment. It emphasizes compatibility with common Ethereum tooling (wallets, RPCs, explorers) to streamline E2E testing of cross-chain workflows. As of Sep 2025, official performance benchmarks—average gas cost, block speed, TPS, and on-chain activity—are not published and can vary with upgrades, so Tatara should be used for functional validation rather than production throughput comparisons.
Tatara uses ETH as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain ETH by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
To bridge ETH to Tatara, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select Tatara as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on Tatara you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add Tatara to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send ETH on Tatara, ensure your wallet is connected to the Tatara network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of ETH to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
