An open test network, Testnet uses LFC (Chain ID 41604) to enable costless, risk-free application experimentation, deployment validation, and seamless tooling integration.
Testnet is a non-production blockchain network that mirrors mainnet so developers can safely test smart contracts and cross-chain bridge flows using LFC. Primary use cases include end-to-end bridge rehearsals, integration and load testing, and pre-deployment benchmarking of avg LFC gas cost, block speed, TPS, and user activity; faucet LFC and periodic resets enable rapid, low-risk iteration.
This Testnet is purpose-built for the cross-chain bridge: it mirrors production bridge contracts and message formats, enables end-to-end message passing and asset flow simulations in a sandbox, and uses faucet-funded LFC to keep developer transaction costs negligible. Key metrics to compare are avg LFC gas cost, block speed, TPS, and active accounts; a public metrics/explorer URL is currently N/A, so real-time performance data may vary by test event.
Testnet uses LFC as the gas token for transaction fees. You can obtain LFC by bridging from other chains or purchasing using thirdweb Bridge, or through faucets (for testnet).
To bridge LFC to Testnet, connect your wallet to thirdweb bridge, select your source chain, choose the token you want to bridge, select Testnet as the destination, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The bridge will handle the cross-chain transfer instantly.
To build on Testnet you can use thirdweb, which provides an easy way to build, monetize and scale your apps, games or agents. You can find detailed guides and documentation on https://portal.thirdweb.com to get started quickly.
To add Testnet to your wallet, you can connect your wallet and click on [Add to Wallet] button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can add the network manually using the RPC URL and chain details and add it to your wallet's network settings.
To send LFC on Testnet, ensure your wallet is connected to the Testnet network, enter the recipient's address, specify the amount of LFC to send, review the gas fee, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
